PERIDOT

Called “the extreme gem” Peridot is born of fire and brought to light, one of only two gems (Diamond is the other) formed in molten rock of the upper mantle and brought to the surface by the tremendous forces of earthquakes and volcanoes. The current term “Peridot” is derived from the Arabic word faridat, meaning “gem.” While it is currently mined in many parts of the world, it is still the National Gem of Egypt.
LARIMAR
Larimar cools tempers and calms fears, relieves stress, and nurtures the physical and emotional bodies. A rare blue variety of Pectolite, Larimar is found only in the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. It occurs as needle-like crystals, grown together in a solid mass and forms in cavities within basaltic lava. Larimar is also known as the Dolphin Stone, Blue Pectolite, Atlantis Stone, and Stefilia's Stone. It was named by the Dominican who re-discovered it in 1974, taking the first letters of his daughter's name, Larissa, and the Spanish word for the sea, mar, to create Larimar.
LAPISLÁZULI
Its name comes from the Latin lapis, ``stone,`` and the Persian lazhuward, ``blue.`` It is rock formed by multiple minerals, mostly Lazurite, Sodalite, Calcite, and Pyrite, and is a rich medium to royal blue with gold flecks (pyrites). It is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth. It reveals inner truth and promotes self-awareness and the acceptance of that knowledge. It reveals not only one's limitations but the opportunities for growth and to utilize one's gifts and abilities.
AZZURITE
Azurite is a soft stone, named for its deep “azure blue” color.
